As a Speech-Language Pathologist in a school-based setting, you will provide vital communication and language services that support student success. This role includes assessing and diagnosing speech-language disorders, creating and implementing individualized treatment plans, and delivering direct therapy sessions that align with each students needs and goals. Youll collaborate with educators, families, and school teams to ensure each child receives the interventions necessary to thrive. In addition, you will be responsible for maintaining detailed documentation, contributing to IEP meetings, and serving as an essential voice in the overall academic and emotional development of the students you support.
To qualify for this role in Virginia, candidates must hold a Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders and possess a current Virginia license issued by the Virginia Board of Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology. Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) is preferred, though Clinical Fellows (CFY) will also be considered. Applicants must also meet school district requirements and adhere to Virginia Department of Education guidelines for school-based service providers.
